The Blair Township Water and Sewer Authority holds its monthly meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Water and Sewer Authority Building at 377 Cedarcrest Drive, Duncansville. All meetings are held at 7:00 PM.
Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM. Their is a convenient Drive-Up Window for making payments. Or, customers can walk in or send their payments through the mail. Also available during off-hours is a Night Depository (located near the drive-up window).
On November 6, 1967 the Blair Township formed the Blair Township Water and Sewer Authority at their regular monthly meeting. The first Authority consisted of David Smith (Secretary/Treasurer), Richard Rabold (Chairman), John Franks (Vice-Chairman), Ambrose Walls (Member), and G. Ray Cochran (Member). The firm of Patterson & Evey was appointed as the solicitor, with James Routch as the acting attorney.
The first meeting of the Authority was held in the basement of the Township Secretary/Treasurer, G. Ray Cochran. On May 14, 1968 the Authority was incorporated. The authority started business with only $500 from the Supervisors to pay for legal fees associated with the incorporation. The Authority has grown from that time to now serve more than 1400 customers.
